June 2021: Donation of Royalties to Charity
In 2021, 70 countries around the globe still criminalize being gay or lesbian.
Rainbow Railroad is an organization that assists individuals from those countries with resettlement in countries where who you love isn't a crime. I was so moved by their efforts, I decided to donate 100% of my royalties from the June 2021 sales of any/all of the four anthologies I curated for Dark Ink Books to Rainbow Railroad. That's right: what better way to celebrate PRIDE month but with a purchase of an anthology with proceeds that will benefit a charity that helps so many? I rounded up the total to $500.00 and the money was sent on July 7.
